Resuming  The Artist’s Way process in Safety. Always a great place to start. The process finds me hopeful. As hopeful as when I facilitated groups teaching it, as hopeful as when I embarked on the journey on my own.

I’ve been telling a dear fellow artist that we are truly never, never alone. Now again, it’s time for me to put my method where my heart is.

In this week, this June Bloom week, I’ve been immersing myself in the deliciousness of Louise Hay. Optimistic and beyond, she epitomizes self-love, and love, as an art. If I never create another piece of art, I’ll know I’m always an artist. My loving is an art. It’s a perfectly imperfect art. In my soul, I know this. If kind reminders and creations emerge from this knowing, from this process, which I’m sure they will, I’m all for it. Again and again.

Sensitivity is needed. Without funding, when you’re fashioning your working artist’s life brick by brick, it can elicit a sense of uneasiness in others. Every step closer to truth you walk by its very nature can indict others to do so. And as Spirit, we are always unfolding and unearthing more truth within ourselves. This is not necessarily a process to shout about from the rooftops. In this blog, one can pick and choose. I know going through this journey is therapeutic. I think it’s an important one to take for an artist, for a Spirit, whatever package it arrives in. Most importantly, sensitivity for oneself. Keeping your hands over the warm fire so as not to let the first breeze–soft or overpowering–dull or douse the fire.

Entering the realm of the senses in the gothic fashion world is such a delight! We know: it sounds like a contradiction in terms–just trust us. Vampires were hot long before Twilight….

Gothic chic grew, twirling, twisting, and mirror-dance gyrating alongside Goth culture, articulating itself in music, art, prose, and of course, fashion. During its evolution, Gothic culture has generally been full figure friendly, much like the Rockabilly fashion set. Much of Gothic culture is enveloped in forward thinking, out-of-the-box artist-types, and (dare we say it) sometimes Dommes in dungeons and their entourage, who can sometimes be be fuller figured in general (demanding presence, and all).

Plus Size Clothing Magazine Sips Café Au Lait While Delighting in the Latest Quadruple F: Full Figured Fashion-Diva Film.

Plus Size Clothing designer Yuliya Raquel’s darling San Francisco-based 12+ brand IGIGI launched its soft, poetic short film “Being You is Beautiful” last week on YouTube. The film is the second in a series of cinematic IGIGI shorts, called “16.”

In “Being You is Beautiful” one of IGIGI’s favorite models, the Brazilian bombshell Fluvia Lacerda is a living, breathing poem, fancying herself in her own reflection in black and white, nostalgic tones. The sensual short is directed by fashion photographer/director Mark De Paola whose previous credits include projects for Armani and DKNY.

Remember the Margaret Cho routine where the lesbian couple’s on an Olivia Cruise? One woman asked another,  “Were you checking out…her, or her, or her, or her…?”

Drama happens. Femmes can have an aggro-crisis, and our butchies and transbrothers can reveal to us the softest hearts.
